Apply for the CGI U Innovation Fund!


The Clinton Global Initiative University (CGI U) has officially launched the CGIU Innovation Fund!

This new CGI U funding competition aims to source, support, and feature the most effective, high-impact college student entrepreneurs and innovators worldwide by providing critical, early-stage seed funding. Selected scholars will receive funding to advance projects that fit CGI U’s Commitments to Action model and an invitation to attend CGI U 2017.

Green startups from all over the world can submit promising sustainable business plans until 1 June 2016 inclusive. In order to be able to compete, your product or service must reduce greenhouse gas emissions. The winner will receive €500,000 to further develop their product or service, and to bring it to market. The runner-up will receive €200,000. The winner will chosen by an international jury at the finals in Amsterdam on 14 September 2016.

The 14th annual “Create the Future” Design Contest has recently been open for submissions for 2016, to award innovative, new product ideas that benefits society and the economy. The Contest was launched in 2002 by the publishers of NASA Tech Briefs magazine to help stimulate and reward engineering innovation. The annual event has attracted more than 12,000 product design ideas from engineers, entrepreneurs, and students worldwide. The contest’s principal sponsors are COMSOL and Mouser Electronics with Analog Devices and Intel as supporting sponsors.
